Camping

We were finally able to make one of our camping trips, after 2 had already failed (and a trip to California). We had no shade or camper hookups in 100+ degree weather but we had a lake. We went to Yuba and had a great time.
Gabe liked to wade in the water but spent most of his time on the edge playing in (and eating) the dirt.

Here is a rare shot of Zeke playing outside of the water. When we made him wait to get back in until we ate.

Here is Zeke helping "Uncle Nate" catch a fish. He enjoyed helping reel it in.

Here is his first fish! He didn't like it so much out of the water.

Zeke was more than relaxed in the water. But you can tell Gabe didn't like it. He was fine up to his knees but wasn't comfortable beyond that. See him clinging to Dad. I Love the contrast in this picture.

He is not asleep but he would have had we let him. He absolutely loved being in the water and never wanted to get out.

Here is Gabe, more comfortable on the sidelines. Had more fun and inched in the water when he discovered throwing rocks in.

I love these boys so much!

He seems pretty relaxed to me. What a cutie!

We pulled Zeke out and he was freezing but still wanted to go back in. Once bundled and warm he fell right to sleep. I enjoyed snuggling with him.

For those that never got to see...As we were packing up we had the camper door open but the screen shut, Gabe started slapping the screen. I ran over to him saying no Gabe and was within arms reach as the door flew open and Gabe flew out, right onto his face. It was soooo sad. I felt so bad.

This picture was 2 hours later at least, and still looks super painful. He bit a hole through his tongue, got a fat lip, bloody nose and bit the tip of his tongue too. The wierd part is my nephew had almost the same marks on his tongue a couple weeks before...they seem to copy each other with injuries.

This one was a week or so later after it had healed a bit.

Anniversary

Brigham and I used to go bowling together all the time as teenagers, so we decided to go for our anniversary this year. We don't really go anywhere except the temple without the boys so they got to come too.
Gabe wasn't too excited about it at first. (he fell asleep on the way there)

Zeke really enjoyed watching us.

Here's Brigham showing off his skills.

Yep, I still have a little spaz left in me.

Once Zeke got to choose the ball and try it himself he enjoyed it even more.

Gabe woke up and wanted to join the party right away.

We let them both try pushing it regularly a couple of times but it just went so slow so we got the ramp. They still thought it was really fun.

Happy Anniversary honey. I love you! 8 years!

Powder Fresh

The boys were being so good...so I thought. I should have known. They weren't silent but they were playing well together for a while and laughing like crazy. This is what I walked in to.

Gabe was completely covered. Of course I knew what it was because I could smell it as soon as I got to the door.

Hmm I wonder who was the master mind in all of this.

They did really have fun though. At least it was just baby powder, easy to clean, and smells nice. Scares me how much they enjoyed finger painting though.

All because he learned how to climb, he thinks he can climb on everything (well obviously he can....but doesn't mean he should)

Getting warmer

One night it was stormy and I kept hearing a thunk on the window but kept looking and couldn't see anything, finally figured it must be a noise from the storm somehow. The next morning when it was light out, we found a frog in the window well. The boys loved it. Even weeks after we got it out Zeke kept going to the window and asking for the frog. Kinda fun and unexpected.

Both the boys love the bath, and Zeke is an absolute fish. He never wants to get out of the water, no matter where we are.
Gabe didn't last too long in the pool, it was too cold for him.

Zeke didn't care that it was cold, he just gradually worked into it more and more.

Unlike bathtime, he is free to splash as much as he wants (not that they really follow that rule in the tub)

Yep, worked all the way down to laying in the cold water, crazy kid.

Gabe wanted to play with Zeke, just not in the pool.

It was plenty hot, but Gabe found this coat and loved it, wanted to wear it for a while. He looks so cute too!

Boys in June

Yep, I'm still trying to get all caught up. These are just some cute pictures I found of them.

Here's Gabe getting eaten by Taz, and loving it.

This is how he sleeps a lot of times, just chillin with his hands behind his head. He has a lot of these laid back looks.

if I ever take a picture of Gabe, Zeke needs one too, and visa versa.

Brig and I took turns bouncing the boys on the bed. They love it and were laughing so hard, but that is pretty exhausting for us.

Look at the concentration on his face to get it in his.....um mouth?

These are just some fun shots that I took of Gabe standing on my dresser playing with the mirror.

He says cheeeeese really well.

Poor Zeke split his toe, and I have no idea how, he didn't even cry he just said I have an owie, and I saw his bloody toe.

Boys

Not sure if anyone checks our blog anymore. It's been a while. But I thought I would update it anyway. I am going to catch it up so here are some pictures from May. The boys love to play around, looking through things, dressing up, and especially wearing boots.

Gabe may be tiny, but he's fiesty. He can hold his own. They are such good brothers.

Their attitude instantly changes when the other one wakes up, and they copy each other and follow each other around all the time.

Wearing hats is a favorite too.

Another day of playing hard. He was supposed to be in bed, when I went to check on him this was how I found him.

Look, I'm flying.

Couldn't resist adding this one. This was not a prompted picture. Daddy lets them roam free, he grabbed the purse on his own.

Wearing aunt Katie's glasses.
