Boys in August

Gabe learned a new trick, I wish he hadn't.

This was really cute, after the scare wore off. It was just pudding so I went in the other room for a minute. He was being super quiet so I went back to check on him to find him all slouched over, I thought he choked on something. Poor kid was just overly tired.

The boys love this bike, but can't work it themselves. Their cousin Sabrina was nice to give them rides.

It was a pretty good rain storm but the boys couldn't resist. They really wanted to play in the rain.

I was cold, but they had a blast. Later they threw rocks into a large puddle that accumulated, but I didn't want to get the camera too wet.

They just play if they are in the same room but they love to play together and 'pretend' to sleep.

Family Campout

We were able to go on an overnight campout with most of my sibblings and their families in August. We stayed up late and had a lot of fun. This is Zeke with one of the giant marshmallows that roasted to almost the size of his head. He didn't mind, he still liked them.

Here is Brigham his first time ever repelling. My brother is an outdoorsy/survival type guy so he goes a lot. The first steps over the edge are the scariest part.

Here we are going down together. I used to go a lot but it has been over 12 years. Now that I'm older, I'm not so fearless and I think I was even worse.

These are my boys.

My little monkey loved climbing up the rocks.

He spent a lot of time in this hole, it was as far as we'd let him climb.

I would put in some clever mastercard type quote here, but I have lost my creativity so all I can say is Priceless.

Did I mention it was 100 degrees out this whole time.

Zeke wanted to jump down the rope too. He settled for swinging on it.

Gabe did a little rock climbing.

So cute!

Ta da! I made it to the top of this 3 foot rock all by myself.

Gabe sitting up on a ledge.

Happy Trails

Dentist

This is Gabriel's first trip to the dentist. He cried a little but he did pretty good.

Zeke was impressed that there was a tv on the ceiling, Gabe just wanted out of the chair.

Zeke's first time getting x-rays.

This was the reward for being so good.

Boys in July

Zeke would say he is Santa. But he just looks so cute, even though so messy.

If Gabe gets a pictures, Zeke always wants one too.

Zeke now loves building 'houses' this is a picture of one of his first houses.

Wow every dvd and cd off the shelf, including some of the shelves.

And here is the proud face. He thinks he did a good job. I was not so happy.

He didn't want to take a nap this day, so I didn't make him. When I went downstairs a little while later this is what I found.

I love this face. He makes it all the time.

This is one of his favorite spots to play/hide in. That and the computer desk. This is his dresser.

The boys both LOVE to wear boots around.

Gabe is in a phase of climbing into things. He's so tiny.

Everyday bumps and bruises.

And that's the truth! (Anyone ever see that show on PBS where the girl sat on the chair and told a story, ending with that's the truth and sticking her tongue out.)

4th of July

I love when they play together so well.
Zeke loved being able to do the fireworks himself.

Gabe really wanted to hold the spark, not quite ready to go solo.

Watching the fireworks and singing songs.

Such good boys!

First time Brigham came out of the house (and walked further than to the kitchen and back) in over a week.

Poor Daddy is so sick. We were supposed to go to San Diego for the 4th of July. Instead of seeing our new niece and playing on the beach Brigham decided he would try dying instead.

A gift of pink eye turned into eye infection, chest infection, sinus infection and a week of chills, feeling of death and fever averaging 104-105.8 for over a week. Even when getting better he had chills and sweats for weeks after. So glad he's better. Sorry we missed the trip.
