Boys

Not sure if anyone checks our blog anymore. It's been a while. But I thought I would update it anyway. I am going to catch it up so here are some pictures from May. The boys love to play around, looking through things, dressing up, and especially wearing boots.

Gabe may be tiny, but he's fiesty. He can hold his own. They are such good brothers.

Their attitude instantly changes when the other one wakes up, and they copy each other and follow each other around all the time.

Wearing hats is a favorite too.

Another day of playing hard. He was supposed to be in bed, when I went to check on him this was how I found him.

Look, I'm flying.

Couldn't resist adding this one. This was not a prompted picture. Daddy lets them roam free, he grabbed the purse on his own.

Wearing aunt Katie's glasses.

Backyard Campout.

We had a campout planned Memorial Day weekend with my sister. First campout for Gabriel, but where we usually go was still covered in snow, and she was in a tent. So we figured the kids would all be too cold. So we resorted to the backyard firepit then most of us slept out in the camper anyway.

The boys love the fire

So dang cute!

Why do they want to grow up so fast?

Day at the Zoo

We went with my sister to the zoo. We tried to go last year but it didn't work out so this was the first time for either one of them.

Here is Zeke looking at baby Suri the elephant.

Family shot.

Try as he might, Gabe couldn't stay awake. He was bobbing for quite a while.

I think he's dreaming he is around animals.

The kids love the tiny alligator. (though we can't see it)

This was an animal I wasn't sure if everyone had seen, I thought it was kinda cool. It's called a snake neck turtle. (if I remember right)

The boys loved the monkeys, but we didn't get to see the gorillas. There were actually not that many animals at the time.

Here are my boys being their regular goofy selves.

Gopher holes. They were pretty cool. Kinda nasty that Zeke was licking them.

They loved being in them though.

Thought we'd pull a Steve Erwin (or whatever his name is)

Once upon a time they were in an egg. Sorry, had to go there.

This was the best shot we got. They boys had a great time. We always love family time.

Emergency Day

The city had an emergency day and the boys got to go see the fire trucks and ambulances. The helicopter was supposed to be there but never showed up :(

They loved the fire truck, but thought the cool things were the seatbelts, and chairs...silly boys. Zeke wanted to climb the huge ladder though.

They got to see the ambulance too, but they weren't nearly as interested in it.

Bathtime and Bruises

The boys both still LOVE the water. You should see them at the pool! Zeke is convinced he can fly like superman and buzz lightyear. They love to jump, and it's easiest at the pool. Obviously they love to splash too.

More splashing, and their artwork on the walls. (bath crayons so it's ok)

Gabe slipped and bonked his eye on the side of the tub, but cried for a second then wanted to get back in the tub. Tough little guy. Nice goose egg/shiner.

Here is his black eye a few days later.

Zeke's favorite outfit, spiderman shirt and spongebob pants!

Getting Bigger

Zeke always wants to go bye-bye in the blue truck. We have let him 'drive' a couple of times and he loved it!
I looked over at him standing by the bed the other day and I can't believe how tall he is. They are both growing up so fast!

Gabe drinks from a cup really well, but he still thinks it's fun to watch the liquid splash on the floor sometimes. (He dumps it on purpose)

I took the basket of laundry into my room. They usually play with the button and the lint collector. I came back to see Zeke driving his cars inside. I got mad and stressed how dangerous it was, it could be hot, he could break it. I told him to get out right now....wait, let me take a picture first, and then get out :)

Gabriel is really coming into his own lately. He has become quite the snuggler, which we love because he didn't used to snuggle much especially with Daddy. Now he snuggles all the time. And he has all sorts of expressions now. He's quite playful. He has a really cute scowl face too, gets his eyebrows all curled and everything, I haven't been able to catch that on camera yet, especially because it usually ends in a smile.

Gabe really is getting bigger but he looks tiny compared to Zeke. Most of the time they are such good buddies, and I love it! I thought this was a great picture.

Easter

Here are the boys at the end of the treasure hunt. (Well sort of, they weren't too in to picking up all the eggs, they picked up a few, then just played and ate candy)

Here they are at the start of their hunt.

We decided since it snowed on Easter we would turn our snowman into a snow bunny.

Gabe's first snowman.

Gabe had fun eating the crayons! (He did color the eggs a little too)

Zeke loved coloring the eggs. He got to color them and dye them.

Here was one of the 3 easter hunts we hit the day before. They got plenty of candy, we could have got more but they'd never eat it all. Zeke loved the Easter bunny, Gabe was just curious.

Zeke was on of maybe 10 kids to go on this isle. We scored with about $20 of free groceries as well as all the candy
