Zeke is 2

Zeke turned 2 January 28th! He got a 'monster truck' cake, which he loved and still talks about. His cousin Keegan's birthday is the 25, I made him a little truck too, which ended up looking like Mator!

He got to invite his buddies/cousins Keegan and Colton over for a party. (Now he's in nursery he should start making some friends)

Here he is excited about his cake.

He got a cupcake for his actual birthday. He started with this approach.

Not sure if it wasn't working, if he didn't want his hands messy, or if this was just funner.

Blowing out the candles!

He's really too big for the jumper but he still LOVES it.

He looks like such a stud! I love you Ezekiel.

Christmas 2009

This one is from New Year's. Zeke has no problem staying up until midnight! He loved banging the pot.

Zeke and I had a fun snow day. We wrote their names in the snow :)

They loved the little chairs, just their size.

Gabe's first Christmas, he did pretty good with the unwrapping.

The best gifts of all.

My cute little elf!

Santa!

We went to see Santa Friday. We got diverted to this Santa but I'm glad we did. He was so nice and fun. I think he is the real one!

This was the day Zeke didn't want to smile for any camera shots. He was playful with him off the camera though.
Gabe was very fascinated with Santa. I couldn't get him to look forward, I even went back a second time to try again. Wish I would have took more of Santa playing with him, now I know he wouldn't look at me anyway :( Oh well.

Thought I would throw this one in. I made banana bread for the neighbor gifts this year. When I went in the other room, I noticed it was pretty quiet. We ended up keeping a couple of loaves for ourselves after Zeke helped me glaze/stab them! :)

Christmas Pictures

We actually got family pictures done on Friday at Sears but Zeke didn't want to smile, I don't think Gabe did either but none of them really worked, and they were regular pictures. So today we did our Christmas family picture too! It's hard to get everyone to smile at the same time, especially with no one watching, just a timer button!

Here is Gabriel singing his Christmas songs!

And Zeke saying his cute cheeeeeese!

My cute boys! All 3 of them.

Me and the boys. Yes I know I look cheesy.

Snow Play

Here is Gabriel his first time playing in the snow. We took them out when it was lightly snowing last Saturday, just for fun.

Monday we got another 2 feet of snow! Zeke thought this was pretty funny. Gabe wasn't too interested in the snow yet. Zeke loved it until his hand got too cold when his glove fell off.

He looked so cute all puffy and bundled!

Poor Gabe, his hood wouldn't stay on. He only stayed out a couple of minutes. Now we just need to build him a snowman!

Catch Up

Okay I'm finally trying to catch up on my blogging. Even now I am only here because Brig is so good to entertain the kids. I haven't really put pictures up since July so there is a bit to catch up on. I just printed out a ton of pictures to hard copy so between that, here, and facebook, I can't remember what went where so I may have skipped some, and I may have doubled up on some but they are worth seeing twice if I did. I love Gabe's face here, he pulls some funny ones, they are both so expressive.

They love to go for walks, when it's warm outside this is a daily routine. I hate when it's cold, it's hard on all of us. I wish we got the 3 months of fall instead of 3 weeks.

I love that they love each other. It is so cute to look over and see them playing together or giving each other 'lovies'!

More Zeke

Zeke used to fight me with pictures, not sure if it was knowingly but I could never get one. Now he likes to see the picture on the camera so he loves to get his picture taken. He is posing here. If I take a picture of Gabe he wants one of him too, usually doing the same thing!

He has all sorts of cool and funny tongue tricks. This was just a face. It shows off his teeth though, today he actually got #15 broken through.
For a little while he didn't want to sit in the highchair, he wanted to sit like a big boy, and he does look so big!

Katie took the boys out to play and of course Zeke found the water, he loves water.

I never thought to take a picture of this, but I love it. Zeke has a million toys but he loves rocks. We go for a walk, he's fine the whole time playing with a rock. He likes to bring them in the house and play with them. I don't know what is so entertaining about them but he sure is fascinated by them.

Here is Zeke's first time on the potty! He sat there ready to go. Then I got the camera out to capture the moment. Not sure if it was the camera or him, but he stood up and peed on the floor right by the potty. I wasn't even trying to get him to go, just introducing it to him, but he wanted to try. Still haven't been forcing the issue, but he has peed on the potty 5 times already! He has peed on the floor by the potty about 20 :( I'm trying to decide if he's ready, and if I am.

He liked to get his teeth brushed then he hated it, then he discovered my electric toothbrush and loved it again, so we switched the head and use that. Now sometimes he likes it sometimes he doesn't.

This may be a repeat picture but it's still cute. The little monkey. He learned how to climb so now he climbs up, over, on, through..... everything.

Zeke has a new fascination with puting things on his arms, usually scrunchies, but anything that will fit. Some of the times he looks like a little warrior. This picture reminds me of the Army of Heleman, not that they did this but he is an honorable young man.

After church he carried his tie around, held it on with his chin for a while. Silly boy.

Zeke was playing with this pan, first as a toy, then as peek-a-boo, then he discovered the echo so he would put it all the way on his head and sing and laugh, then make sure we were watching and do it again, very clever.

I finally surrendered the spoon for the mess. I thought he should be able to feed himself by now and realized he probably could if I let him try more. He still uses his hands occassionally but he can finally use a spoon. Here is his efforts with spaghetti. He did soup the other day, did really well with it, but the bib saw quite a bit.
