Gabriel is 6 months

Wow where has the time gone. He is getting big so fast, and yet he's still so tiny. Poor little guy doesn't like to eat or sleep. We're really having some issues with eating, he almost had to get a tube, he's still won't eat some days, but he's gaining weight. He is developing well, learning new things. He loves to talk, climb, and play with Zeke. He has said mom and dad a few times, though I don't think it's controlled yet.

Here are some pictures of the boys I took that day. I am so glad they love each other!

Holding hands and flashing signs at the same time. I bet his thumb is up and you just can't see it :)

Brig has been dying to cut Gabriel's hair. I told him he had to wait until he was 6 months, so the next day....
Here is the before picture.

At first he just tried to figure out what was going on.

Then the poor little guy was scared to death. He was so scared his little hands and feet were shaking. We had to stop a couple of times to calm him down, it was so sad :(

Here is the after picture.

He does not stand alone yet but Brig tried to set him back in the highchair afterward and he didn't want anything to do with it. He was not going to sit back in that thing, it's too scary. He stood there for a few minutes until we took him out, he wouldn't sit down for anything. What a smartie.

Autumn

We drove up Nebo canyon to look at the color changes. The pictures didn't work very well but it was nice.

There was a clearer picture but the smiles are so cute in this one.

Gabriel was smiling too, just in the truck still :)

First we played at the park and Zeke fed the ducks, well first he fed himself.

He got the hang of it later when they came out of the water, then he was willing to share.

First Carnival

Here is Gabriel just hanging out letting Zeke have his fun on the rides.

Zeke had a fun time going to the carnival. He got to go on his first rides. This was the very first.

He wasn't too sure about this one once it started flying higher, but eventually he liked it. They were intrigued by the motor in the middle.

The other kid in all the pictures is his cousin Colton, who is a year and a half older than Zeke, even though Zeke is almost bigger already.

Yay, I get to go on one too (says Gabriel). Later he sat on the same

horse as Zeke, they both liked that.

Another truck ride. He loves trucks lately, he's watching me post these and really wants the truck right now.

Choo Choo train!

Close up. He stayed after on this ride so he could push the buttons, because he couldn't reach while he was strapped in.

I went around to get Gabriel, thought Zeke was by the slide, when I looked for him he was to the top of the rockwall already. He climbed it himself in slippers and all. He's really loving the learned to climb trick.

These two were the day before the carnival just playing at the park.

Baby Contest

Here are the pictures from the baby contest. I wish it were a baby contest and not a costume contest, but you really do have to follow the theme :( The photographer was really impressed with Gabriel's outfit and made it sound like he would win. But he didn't :( The lion is what we submitted.

We also took a non costume picture, for a prince, but he wouldn't wear the crown. He looks sooo much like my baby pictures here!

This is the picture we submitted for Ezekiel. Neither of them won, which you don't expect much but I was a little dismayed that NONE of the winners were boys, girls are cute, but come on, pick at least one boy to win.

Here was another option we had. They of course are both winners in our eyes!

Sabrina's Baptism

Last month Brigham was able to baptize my daughter, I mean niece, Sabrina :) She got to choose from a list of people who she wanted to do it and she chose him!

Here she is with her real mom. (Yes she's really 8)

The Boys

I love when they give each other hugs. Zeke hugs Gabe's tummy and Gabe rubs his head.

I'm so lucky!

Labor-ous Day

During the week of the reunion we got most of Brigham's brothers to come help us with the retaining wall in our back yard. It was a ton of work, and 100 degrees. They were great and we sure appreciated the help.
First they had to move the railroad ties that were scattered across the yard and stack them. That was a task in itself.

Here is a before picture, just a rocky hill.

Here's a picture after the first few hours. I didn't get very good pictures. Jeff's kids came out to help for a little bit and the neices and nephews sat and watched them work, it was cute.

Here they are hard at work. Had already been working 8 hours in the heat at this point.

Zeke watched out the window, loved the tractor and watching his dad.

Here is the finished wall. Well as finished as we got, it still needs a little work, which is a lot of work.

It wouldn't fit in one picture and the trailier is in the way, but here is the other half, straight up and down, the other half has two levels.
Thanks so much everyone, we couldn't have done it without you!
